Races of Mahdran...BUTTS

Mankind – Humans are the main race on Mahdran; however, there are a large variety of humans with their own distinct language and culture. Mostly these differences are defined by the geographical location and, with some exceptions, their elemental affinity

Lowlanders – Lowlanders are the most common type of Man.
Skin: Fair
Height: 6ft
Hair: Variety
Eye: Variety
Affinity: Variety (Based on Nation)
Language: Variety (Based on Nation)
Resembles: Europeans in the West, Asians in the East

Icefolk – Icefolk typically stick to the colder regions of the North and have, throughout the years, become somewhat xenophobic. Due to the wars that have torn apart the main civilizations, the Icefolk has strict laws in their nations forbidding foreigners from entering. The only contact non-Icefolk have with the nations are at the port towns, which are open to foreign trade. More will be discussed in the Nation Section. They have a large cold tolerancy

Language: Icetongue
Resembles: Eskimos

Highlanders – Highlanders, as the name states are from higher altitude regions. Typically they form tribal societies. They are somewhat larger than their lowlander brothers.
Skin: Fair, but slightly darker
Height: 6.5ft
Hair: Typically lighter colors
Eye: Typically green or brown
Affinity: Earth or Air
Language: HIllspeak
Resembles: Barbarians? - Russian

Seafarers – Seafolk are those that have lived around water for most of their life. They mainly hail from the aquatic shelf but are also found commonly in coastal cities. Most have an expanded lung capacity as well as a film on their fingers and toes that allow them to swim more efficiently.

Height: 5.5ft
Hair: Blue, blonde or white.
Eye: Most commonly blue
Affinity: Water
Language: Seatongue
Resembles: ANIME?!

Firefolk – Firefolk are descendents of places with a higher temperature. Most come from either the deserts or the volcanic planes
Skin: Dark
Height: 6ft
Hair: Black
Eye: Black
Affinity: Fire
Language: Flametongue
Resembles: The Black Man

Alfar-Alfar are more magically inclined beings and would be best described as elves. They are the rumored founders of Mahdran and ruled for eons in harmony with the Skylords. They have a significant longer lifespan than man, but tend to be less physically able.

Skylords – Skylords are Dragons. Each dragon has a distinct elemental affinity. This elemental affinity determines the color of their scales. When not in their natural forms, a Skylord eyes glow golden, which make them impossible to blend in with any existing race. Skylord is the name given to the Dragons by Mankind, see the religion section for more.

Wolfen – (Yes furrys, lol). Wolfen are a race of bipedal creatures resembling the common wolf, the exact origin is unknown nor historically recorded. Most assume that the Wolfen can from the Untamed areas (See Untamed Areas). Long ago the Wolfen were conquered in a war between humanity and the outside races. The existing Wolfen were subjugated and enslaved. Today they exist solely as a slave race. Their fur can range from black to gray to rust and they have the capability of intelligence equally to that of mankind. Variations of Wolfen exist and are bred to perform certain tasks. Large Wolfen are used for tasks involving strength as to where smaller are used for performing tasks involving speed. Wolfen typically have no affinity and speak whatever language their owners require. They are fiercely loyal and tend to learn quickly.
